Prof. Dr. Mohammadramin Zia (born 1964, Iran) is a Professor of Visual Arts and Art Therapy and a consultant in holistic personal development. He is the originator and developer of Holisticology© (1998–2002), an original and comprehensive methodology integrating psycho-spiritual well-being, healing arts, and complementary therapies into a unified framework for personal transformation. The foundation of this approach is informed by decades of academic research, therapeutic practice, and creative exploration.
In 2002, Dr. Zia also introduced the concepts of Holistic Psychotherapy© (a non-clinical integrative approach to holistic health), Holistic Art Therapy©, Holistic Energy Healing©, and Holistic Spirituality©, which form complementary components within his broader integrative philosophy.
Through his consultation methodology, Professor Zia combines interdisciplinary insight with a compassionate and structured approach, supporting individuals in developing greater self-awareness, holistic well-being, personal growth, and transformative life change.
Recognized as a pioneer in the integration of visual arts and holistic well-being in Dubai since 2000, Dr. Zia founded the Lotus Educational Institute in 2002, a government-approved vocational education institution for arts and design offering more than 300 course subjects, alongside training programs in art therapy and holistic well-being.
Over more than four decades, he has integrated education, artistic practice, and therapeutic innovation. His work has received several international awards and academic recognitions in the fields of aesthetics and visual arts, holistic health and healing, and spirituality and metaphysics. In 2025, he was appointed a Fellow of the Complementary Medical Association (FCMA) and received the Global Leader in Holistic Innovation Award from the Complementary Medical Association, UK.
